Quiet Wonder

The bronze version of Quiet Wonder is finally complete.

Over the past month, I spent much longer developing the patina than I originally expected. I wanted the surface to feel quiet, natural, and alive, with subtle shifts that supported the sculpture without distracting from it. Patina development completed with the help of Troy Hardman of Forever In Bronze.

This piece began from noticing people whose sense of wonder still endures after a long life. I imagined him listening to the birds, open to that simple gift of sound and stillness.
