Part of my Splendid Strangers series.

This piece was inspired by someone who had found the oddest little spot to read and looked completely content. I loved the honesty of a person so absorbed in her book that nothing else mattered.

I am drawn to these small, unguarded moments, and to people who are at ease with their own ways, even when they sit slightly outside what is expected.
